Interview: Literary Dialogue with Javier Reverte

Javier Reverte, Spanish writer and journalist, was born in Madrid in 1944. His full name is Javier Martínez Reverte. He studied philosophy and journalism. In the world of journalism, he has held various positions such as deputy editor of the newspaper Pueblo. He has also been a scriptwriter on radio and television. His literary production covers novels, poems and travel books. It is in the latter that he has gained the most popularity: his Trilogy of Africa (composed of The dream of Africa, Vagabond in Africa and The lost paths of Africa Has earned him a great deal of public attention. In 2010, he won the Fernando Lara novel prize for Barrio Cero.
